Thank you notes to GOD

There was a time I dwelt in darkness,
for I did not know the light.

There was a time I lived without faith,
for I lived with all hope lost.

There was a time I did not  love my self,
for I learned to live without love.

Time passed and I was content 
to sit  in darkness because
I was never shown your might.

But then you reached up and
beheld me in your light,
lifting me up, so that I could see.

You spoke to me in your 
many silent songs,
and gave my faith wings
to set me free.

How can you truly know what you lost
if you do not know it's gone?

You waited, you stayed, ever knowing, ever loving. 

Though I  had  lost Faith in my self
you  never lost Faith in me.

There was a time, I looked up and smiled
and was at peace... thank you.
